.:.I was restudying some classical ONA texts, specifically re-reading letters Anton Long wrote to people back in 1991. There was one letter I stumbled upon that was interesting to re-read. It’s found in “Classic Texts Part 1.” For those of you who don’t have the ONA Classical Text Collection [they are PDF downloads]:

Here’s a snapshot of the part of Anton Long’s letter I found interesting, written way back in 1991:

In that letter, AL talks about a concept and word used often in ONA which is “Destiny.” David Myatt uses that word “Destiny” as well in a very old essay, titled “Vindex The Destiny Of The West.” Incidentally, DM, in that said essay, also used the words “Vindex” and “The Magian,” which words/concepts that can be found in ONA Corpus.

Being raised in Khmer Brahmanism, I recognize that how AL uses that word “Destiny” in that snapshot, means the same thing as the Brahminical concept of “Dharma.”

AL explained that “Destiny” is a “potential” which is “latent within” and that each individual person has their own “Destiny” which must be dis-covered and then manifested/materialized. There is “potential energy,” and then that potential energy is: Expressed.

Destiny and Dharma – especially the way AL used that word – actually do mean the same thing:

So, the main sense of Destiny is: “That which has been firmly established.” And one of the old meanings of Destiny is “Purpose.” Meaning that your Purpose in life – your unique individual purpose as a human being – was firmly established already. Here are the meanings of Dharma:

Note that the third meaning of Dharma from the top is: “That which is established or firm.”

Dharma is the Law and Order of Nature, in other words it is the Rules/principles that governs the Natural Order. For example: 1) Let the Sun produce Heat & Light, 2) Let the plants use the Light to sustain and grow themselves, 3) Let the plants be foodstuff that sustains and nurtures animals. Those would be “rules” that “govern” how the Natural Order works. And so, those principles/laws/rules of Nature are firmly established. Thus, by the Laws of Nature, the Sun’s firmly established function in the Cosmic/Natural Order is to produce heat and light. And so making heat and light is the Sun’s Destiny/Dharma. The Destiny/Dharma of plants – their purpose, their fated/decreed purpose – is to use the light of the sun to sustain and grow themselves and to be food for animals. And so, so long as every member-unit of the Cosmic/Natural Order does or Expresses its Destiny/Dharma: the whole Cosmos or Natural Order works/functions properly. In Pali, Dharma is Dhamma, which retains the much older meaning of the Sanskrit word Dharma:

First note that the definition of Dhamma points you to the Greek Thronos and the Latin Derme [meaning treaty]. One of the main meanings of the word Dhamma is “Constitution.” A “Constitution” is a “Blue Print.”

In very ancient times, long before it ever became a spiritualized word, “Dharma” was the old word for an architect’s “Blue Print.” This was a dharma/dhamma:

It’s the thing the architect is drawing on. The architect draws designs, and those designs regulates how the building or temple is to be constructed, and the designs of the blue print becomes the Rule or Law or Regulation or Ordinance which the stone masons follow/obey.

And so in Buddhism, dhamma also means the Constitution of Nature, meaning the Blue Print or principles which regulates or governs Nature and how Nature works and behaves. Exactly like how the US Constitution is a set of ordinances and regulations [a blue print] which governs how America as a nation should function and behave.

And so your Destiny as an individual, and the Destiny of a Race or Nation or Civilization [such as the West] is the Blue Print, which has been firmly established by fate, which “dictates,” or “decrees” or “govern” your potential, your unique purpose, your wyrd, in the Natural Order and in the Greater Scheme of Things: the unique part you, a nation, or Civilization plays in such Greater Scheme [the mortal storyline of History’s fateful/wyrdful unfoldment].

For more detailed information about the Destiny/Dharma of Races and of Civilization, and to better understand the Destiny of the West, see the following essay: Caste & Hegemony.
